| |
Vermi-compost technology has been perfected by using surface dwelling species of Earthworms. Vermicompost is sustainable supplementary organic manure regenerated from organic waste using earthworms. Vermicompost is rich in nutrients and organic matter content. It can be used by the farmers, horticulturists, floriculturists and garden lovers. It can be used in silviculture and landscaping.
Vermicompost contains 1.2 % to 6 % more Nitrogen, 1.8 % to 2.0 % more Phosphates and 0.5 % to 0.75 % more Potassium as compared to Farm Yard Manure (FYM) / normal soil. It also contains hormones like auxins and cytokinins, enzymes, vitamins and useful microorganisms like bacteria, actinomycetes, protozoans, fungi and others. |
